Day 01: Arrive Delhi
On arrival at New Delhi airport you will be checked into a comfortable hotel where you can freshen up and have a good dinner. Delhi being the capital of India is said to be made up of seven ancient cities and has many different historical monuments.
Day 02: Explore Delhi:
After enjoying an early morning breakfast you will be taken for a tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi - Visit Red fort, Jama Masjid (Largest mosque in India) and enjoy rickshaw ride around Chandni chowk. New Delhi - explore the famous Qutub Minar, Humayun's tomb and a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave. Enjoy an overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi – Agra (205 Kms, 5 ¼ hours drive) & Explore Agra:
Drive to Agra. Check in at hotel and visit the famous Agra fort and Itimad-Ud-Daula's tomb. Enjoy an overnight stay at Agra.
Day 04: Agra – Jaipur (250 Kms, 5 hours drive)
Early morning visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. Built in 1631 by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal – a muslim Persian princess. Taj Mahal is also known as symbol of eternal love (PLEASE NOTE TAJ MAHAL REMAINS CLOSED ON FIRDAY). After having breakfast, drive to Jaipur and visit fatehpur sikri on the Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day 05: Jaipur
Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Jaipur. Enjoy elephant ride to Amber Fort – It is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. It was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Later proceed to visit rest of the attractions of Jaipur Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds), City Palace and the Royal Observatory. Stay overnight at Jaipur.
Day 6: Jaipur – Delhi (by Train) & Fly to Kochi
Morning transfer to the Jaipur railway station to catch train for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi railway station, you will be transferred to the Delhi airport to catch flight for Kochi. Meeting and assistance on arrival and you will be taken to your hotel in Cochin.
Day 07: Cochin to Munnar
After the breakfast drive to Munnar, proceed for sightseeing of Munnar which includes Mattupetti Dam, Rajamala/Eravikulam National Park, Echo Point, Kundala dam etc. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 08: Munnar to Thekkady
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady (04 Hrs Drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities.
Day 09: Thekkady
Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady - one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit and Elephant Ride can be done at an extra cost. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.
Day 10: Thekkady to Kumarakom
After early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom (170 km – 05 Hours drive) on arrival check into Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure and free for independent activities.
Day 11: Kumarakom
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing in and around Kumarakom - a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. The stretch of backwater is spread over 900 sq. km. The hamlet clings to tradition and the local population prefers to live adhering to their old ways. Choose a canoe, motor boat or a houseboat and devour the beauty of this backwater paradise at its best. Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.
Day 12: Kumarakom to Cochin by car
After breakfast, go for sightseeing at Historical Fort Cochin which has a rich heritage and strong historical relationship with English, Portuguese, Dutch, Arabs, Chinese etc. you can visit Dutch Palace, Asia's best preserved Synagogue, Chinese fish nets, Sea mouth, Beach walk way etc. over nights stay.
Day 13: Cochin departure
After having breakfast, check out to drive towards Cochin airport to catch flight for onward journey.
